i am a 20-something student, in grad school in new york. oh, i am indian and a fan cum critic of all things desi. why critic? becoz i have a mom who is extremely unhappy that i am not married yet, and that makes it difficult for a woman to embrace desi-ism  with open arms. and that will be a recurring theme in my blog too. other recurring themes – life as a broke student in new york, weight issues, rants about asshole classmates, feminism, news and media. do we understand each other now? good.
